Our client is One of the leading groups in Cyprus.
The Automation Engineer (as the Team Leader) will design and implements, and maintains automated systems to improve efficiency and reduce errors in various processes, He ll be responsible for creating and managing automated solutions, from initial design and programming to testing, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Designing and Programming Automation Systems:
This involves using programming languages and automation tools to create systems that can perform specific tasks or control machinery with minimal human intervention.
Testing and Troubleshooting:
Once systems are implemented, automation engineers ensure they function correctly and troubleshoot any issues that arise, often requiring strong problem-solving skills.
Maintaining and Improving Systems:
Automation engineers are responsible for the ongoing maintenance and optimization of automated systems, ensuring they remain efficient and reliable.
Training and Support:
They may train other team members on how to use and maintain the automated systems, and provide technical support.
Collaboration:
Automation engineers often work with other teams (e.g., engineering, IT, operations) to develop and implement automation strategies that align with business goals.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or related field.
-Certification in automation tools or platforms
-2–5 years of experience in automation, control systems, or industrial engineering
-Understanding of electrical control systems, instrumentation, and process control.
-Ability to read P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
-Experience with robotics, IoT, or cloud-connected automation (advantageous)
