An Electrical Project Manager’s job involves planning, executing, and closing electrical projects by managing schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and safe delivery of electrical systems and installations. This role requires leading engineering and construction teams, collaborating with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards, and resolving technical challenges to meet project goals.
Key Responsibilities
-Plan, coordinate, and manage electrical projects from initiation to completion.
-Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
-Lead and supervise engineering and construction teams on-site.
-Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
-Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
-Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
-Identify and resolve technical issues and risks.
-Maintain project documentation, reports, and progress updates.
-Ensure timely delivery of projects within scope and budget.
-Conduct inspections and quality control checks.
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
-Valid professional engineering license (where applicable).
-4+ years of experience in electrical project management or related roles.
-Solid knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and construction practices.
-Experience with project scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and AutoCAD or electrical design software.
-Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC).
-Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and multidisciplinary teams.
-Excellent communication and leadership skills.
-Fluency in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.
-PMP or similar project management certification is highly desirable.
