As the Fleet Manager (Heavy Machinery & Vehicles), you will be responsible for managing the company’s fleet of heavy machinery and vehicles. You will oversee the planning and supervision of maintenance schedules, control operational costs, ensure compliance with legal requirements, and work closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Foremen to ensure that the equipment usage meets the needs and schedules of the projects.

Additionally, you will directly supervise the Fleet Administrator, ensuring the proper daily operation and optimal allocation of machinery across all company job sites.

Key Responsibilities

-Fleet Monitoring:
Monitor the company’s fleet of heavy machinery and equipment across all job sites.

-Supervision & Guidance:
Supervise and guide the Fleet Administrator in the effective coordination of daily fleet operations.

-Maintenance Scheduling:
Plan and coordinate both preventive and emergency maintenance for all machinery.

-Compliance Assurance:
Ensure compliance with inspections, certifications, insurance requirements, and other legal obligations.

-Cost Control:
Monitor and control costs related to fuel, repairs, spare parts, and overall fleet operation.

-Performance Analysis & Recommendations:
Analyze fleet performance and provide recommendations for improvements, upgrades, or equipment replacement when necessary.

-Supplier & Technician Collaboration:
Work with external suppliers, maintenance workshops, and technicians.

-Collaboration with Project Managers:
Work closely with Project Managers to schedule the usage of heavy machinery based on project needs and priorities.

-Budgeting & Forecasting:
Prepare budgets and financial forecasts related to equipment operations and capital expenditures.

-Strategic Planning:
Contribute to the strategic planning for fleet development, renewal, and modernization.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

-Experience: Proven experience in a similar position, preferably within the construction industry or heavy machinery fleet management.

-Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the operation and technical specifications of heavy machinery and construction vehicles.

-Skills: Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

-Team Management: Previous experience in managing teams and overseeing fleet operations.

-Software Skills: Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel. Familiarity with fleet management software is considered a plus.

-Driver’s License: A valid category B driver’s license (Category C is a plus).

-Personal Traits: Responsibility, reliability, leadership capabilities, and teamwork spirit.

-Languages: Proficiency in both Greek and English.

Compensation & Benefits

-Salary: Gross monthly salary ranging from €2,500 to €3.000, depending on experience and qualifications.

-Cost of Living Allowance (COLA): Provided.

-13th Salary: Included.
