MECHANICAL ENGINEER DESIGNER

Our client is one of the leading companies in Cyprus and manufactures production lines for its customers in more than 40 countries worldwide.
A Mechanical Design Engineer conceptualizes, develops, and tests mechanical components, machinery, and systems from initial concept to production, using CAD software to create 3D models and 2D drawings. They ensure designs are functional, safe, and manufacturable, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing project documentation
Key Responsibilities
-Design & Modeling: Create detailed mechanical designs, components, and systems using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Creo).
-Analysis & Simulation: Perform structural, thermal, and tolerance analyses to ensure performance and safety standards are met.
-Prototyping & Testing: Build and test prototypes, analyze data, and refine designs to address issues or enhance functionality.
-Documentation: Create technical drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and documentation regarding specifications and changes.
-Collaboration & Manufacturing: Work with cross-functional teams (production, sourcing, quality) to optimize designs for cost-effective manufacturing.
-Project Management: Oversee projects from concept through to final production, ensuring timelines and budgets are met
Required Qualifications
–Education: A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
–Technical Skills: Proficiency in 3D CAD software and Geometric Dimensioning
–Analytical Skills: Strong ability to apply engineering principles to solve problems and optimize designs.
–Communication: Effective interpersonal skills for collaborating with teams and stakeholders
