A Production Manager with a mechanical engineering background oversees manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety while optimizing production schedules and budgets. They lead teams, maintain machinery, implement Lean techniques, and liaise between departments to meet demand. Key duties include scheduling, cost analysis, and technical troubleshooting.

Core Responsibilities

-Production Planning & Execution:
Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demands, set performance targets, and monitor KPIs to ensure efficient operations.

-Engineering & Process Optimization:
Oversee the installation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of machinery and production processes to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.

-Quality Control & Safety:
Ensure full compliance with industry standards and implement health and safety protocols to maintain a safe and high-quality working environment.

-Resource Management:
Manage production budgets, raw materials, inventory, and workforce allocation to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.

-Leadership & Troubleshooting:
Supervise staff, coordinate training and development, and promptly resolve production bottlenecks or technical issues.

-Project Planning & Site Supervision:
Plan and coordinate projects, including on-site supervision when required, ensuring work is executed according to specifications and timelines.

-Workforce Organization:
Organize and schedule labor resources effectively to support production and project requirements.

-Material Estimation & Procurement Support:
Prepare measurements and specifications for material orders to ensure accurate and timely procurement.

-Project Costing & Tendering:
Perform project measurements and contribute to the preparation of cost estimates and quotations when required.

-Progress Monitoring & Reporting:
Track project timelines, monitor progress, and prepare weekly progress reports.

-Client Relations & Business Development:
Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and actively contribute to the development of new business opportunities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

-Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

-Experience: 2–5+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments.

-Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and strong ability to interpret and analyze technical and construction drawings.

-Software Skills: Excellent command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

-Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities, with the capacity to coordinate multidisciplinary teams effectively.

-Languages: Excellent knowledge of Greek and very good command of English (both written and spoken).

Compensation & Benefits

-Salary: Gross monthly salary ranging from €2,200 to €2,500, depending on experience and qualifications.

-Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) provided.

-13th Salary included.

-Leave Fund Contribution: 8.5% of the gross salary contributed to the employee leave fund.

-Annual Leave: 21 days of paid leave per year.

-Working Hours: Monday to Friday, either 07:00–16:00 or 07:30–16:30.
