A Production Manager with a mechanical engineering background oversees manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety while optimizing production schedules and budgets. They lead teams, maintain machinery, implement Lean techniques, and liaise between departments to meet demand. Key duties include scheduling, cost analysis, and technical troubleshooting.

Core Responsibilities

-Production Planning & Execution:
Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demands, set performance targets, and monitor KPIs to ensure efficient operations.

-Engineering & Process Optimization:
Oversee the installation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of machinery and production processes to enhance productivity, reduce downtime, and improve overall system efficiency.

-Quality Control & Safety:
Ensure full compliance with industry standards, implement quality control procedures, and enforce health and safety protocols to maintain a safe and high-quality working environment.

-Resource Management:
Manage production budgets, raw materials, inventory, and workforce allocation to maximize efficiency, minimize waste, and optimize resource usage.

-Leadership & Troubleshooting:
Supervise staff, coordinate training and development initiatives, and promptly resolve production bottlenecks or technical issues, ensuring smooth operations.

-Project Planning & Site Supervision:
Plan and coordinate projects, including on-site supervision when required, ensuring work is executed according to specifications, timelines, and quality standards.

-Workforce Organization:
Organize and schedule labor resources effectively to support production and project requirements, optimizing workforce allocation and productivity.

-Material Estimation & Procurement Support:
Prepare measurements and specifications for material orders to ensure accurate, timely procurement and avoid production delays.

-Project Costing & Tendering:
Perform project measurements and contribute to the preparation of cost estimates and quotations when required, ensuring projects stay within budget.

-Progress Monitoring & Reporting:
Track project timelines, monitor progress, and prepare detailed weekly progress reports to ensure all milestones are met on time.

-Client Relations & Business Development:
Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and actively contribute to the development of new business opportunities to drive growth.

-Plan & Monitor Production Plan Implementation:
Ensure that production plans are implemented effectively and monitor progress to ensure adherence to schedules.

-Oversee Production Efficiency, Quality, and Safety:
Continuously assess and improve production efficiency, maintain high-quality standards, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

-Ensure Adherence to ISO 9001 & Health & Safety Regulations:
Monitor operations to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and health & safety regulations, maintaining high levels of quality and safety.

-Manage Resources, Reports & Work Orders:
Oversee resource allocation, monitor production reports, and manage work orders to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.

-Daily Management and Support of Production Teams:
Provide leadership and daily support to the production team, ensuring clear communication, motivation, and productivity.

-Ensure Completion of Production Records & Reports:
Ensure that all assigned production records and reports are completed accurately and on time, maintaining compliance with company standards.

-Collaboration & Coordination with Other Teams:
Work closely with other teams (engineering, IT, operations) to ensure seamless project execution and the achievement of company objectives.

-Escalation Procedure Management:
Ensure that the escalation procedure is followed in a timely and effective manner when issues arise, mitigating potential delays or disruptions.

-Daily Quality Control of Production Teams:
Conduct daily quality checks and inspections of production processes to maintain high standards of quality and operational excellence.

-Propose Production Improvement Opportunities:
Identify and propose opportunities for production improvement, implementing strategies that enhance performance, reduce costs, and improve overall workflow.

Required Skills and Qualifications

-Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

-Experience: 2–5+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments.

-Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and strong ability to interpret and analyze technical and construction drawings.

-Software Skills: Excellent command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

-Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities, with the capacity to coordinate multidisciplinary teams effectively.

-Languages: Excellent knowledge of Greek and very good command of English (both written and spoken).

Compensation & Benefits

-Salary: Gross monthly salary ranging from €2,500 to €2,900, depending on experience and qualifications.

-Cost of Living Allowance (COLA): Provided.

-13th Salary: Included.

-Leave Fund Contribution: After 6 months of employment.

-Annual Leave: 21 days of paid leave per year.

-Working Hours: Monday to Friday, from 06:45 to 16:15, or on some days from 08:30 to 17:45.

-Saturday Work: Occasional Saturday shifts from 06:45 to 13:00, required twice per month.
