About the Role
Our client, a company operating in the heating, air conditioning and mechanical installations sector, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its Maintenance Department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring maintenance activities, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, and ensuring the proper and efficient operation of mechanical systems and installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
- Diagnose technical faults and coordinate the necessary actions to ensure their timely resolution.
- Supervise technical teams and coordinate maintenance and repair activities.
- Monitor the proper operation of mechanical equipment, air conditioning units, heat pumps and related systems.
- Monitor system performance and energy consumption, identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain maintenance records, technical reports and equipment breakdown histories.
- Manage spare parts and liaise with suppliers and external service providers.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and relevant technical standards.
- Evaluate technical solutions and implement improvements aimed at reducing operating costs and equipment downtime.
Requirements
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Previous experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably within the HVAC sector.
- Good knowledge of heating, air conditioning, ventilation systems and heat pumps.
- Strong technical troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate activities and work effectively with technical teams.
- Good command of Greek and English.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in preventive maintenance and technical support for commercial or industrial installations.
- Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and automation systems.
- Knowledge of energy management and HVAC system optimisation.
- Valid driving licence.
